ITINERARY: Day 1: Monday October 20th 2025: ARRIVAL IN BORDEAUX Upon arrival in the captivating city of Bordeaux, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Jet Vacations. From there, you'll enjoy a seamless transfer by private coach, taking in a panoramic guided city tour that will introduce you to Bordeaux's most iconic landmarks. Following the tour, you'll be transported to your accommodations, ideally located in the heart of Bordeaux's historic center, where you can take a moment to settle in.
As evening falls, indulge in a delightful Welcome Dinner, savoring local flavors and culinary delights. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll along the Garonne River or wander through the charming streets of the old town, where centuries of history come to life. With your first evening in Bordeaux, you’ll be perfectly positioned to begin your exploration of this remarkable city. Overnight in Bordeaux (D)
Day 2: Tuesday, October 21st 2025: BORDEAUX Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel before meeting your expert guide for a captivating walking tour of the Chartrons district. Once known as the “Cork Bourgeoisie neighborhood,” Chartrons offers a fascinating glimpse into Bordeaux's past. As you wander through its charming streets, you'll uncover stories of the area's evolution and explore buildings that carry the marks of its poignant history. A highlight of the tour is the Halle des Chartrons, an iconic market hall that once played a pivotal role in Bordeaux's wine trade. Today, it’s a lively hub, brimming with fresh, local produce, artisan goods, and surrounded by antique shops, galleries, and historic wine houses. Your guide will reveal how the market connects to Bordeaux’s deep-rooted wine culture while offering a taste of the city's vibrant atmosphere. After the market, enjoy some free time to savor a leisurely lunch at a local bistro, where you can indulge in the region's culinary delights. In the afternoon, meet your guide again for a visit to the Cité du Vin, Bordeaux’s renowned wine museum. Here, you’ll experience an immersive and interactive journey into the world of wine, learning about the region’s rich vinous traditions. The visit culminates in a wine-tasting session, allowing you to savor some of Bordeaux's finest wines. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Day 3: Wednesday, October 22nd 2025: BORDEAUX – EMBARKATION CRUISE.
Breakfast at the hotel, leave your luggage at the hotel and enjoy the day to visit Bordeaux at leisure such as Place de la Bourse, the Grand Theatre and rue Saint Catherine. Later in the afternoon be ready at the hotel with your luggage for a private transfer to your cruise ship. At 6:00 p.m., you will be welcomed on board by the attentive crew, who will guide you to your comfortable cabins. Raise a toast to the beginning of this remarkable voyage during the welcome cocktail reception, where you will have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the city with an evening walking tour of the old town. The ship gracefully sets sail into the night, carrying you along the serene waters of the Garonne. (B,D)
Day 4: Thursday, October 23rd 2025: CUSSAC-FORT-MEDOC – The MEDOC REGION
We will cruise down towards Cussac-Fort-Médoc. In the afternoon, follow the trail of the grands crus wines of Médoc, a renowned region where the most famous of all red wines in the world are cultivated. We'll return on board for dinner and an evening of entertainment. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Friday, October 24th 2025: CUSSAC-FORT-MEDOC, GIRONDE ESTUARY – BLAYE.
We'll start sailing early this morning towards Blaye, whose Citadel built by Vauban is not to be missed. Join us on the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Blaye and a visit to its citadel in a tourist train, plus a tasting of regional products and wine: Set off to discover the history and heritage of Blaye and its citadel. Built by Vauban under Louis the Great, the citadel protected Bordeaux from invasions as part of the Verrou Vauban with the Forts Pâté and Médoc. This three-garrison defense system is unique in France and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, we'll visit the Château Marquis de Vauban restaurant for a tasting of wine and some regional products.
DISCOVERY: Tour Blaye and its underground monuments on foot. After our tour, we'll get to taste some regional products with an excellent glass of wine.
We'll return on board and cruise on the Gironde all the way to the estuary. Enjoy an evening of dancing. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Saturday, October 25th 2025: BLAYE – LIBOURNE – SAINT EMILION (B, L , D)
We'll cruise to Libourne, a town rich with history and full of character located at the confluence with the Isle and the Dordogne Rivers. Upon arrival, join us on the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: tour of Saint-Emilion.
DISCOVERY: Libourne by bike and wine tasting.
We'll return on board in Libourne. Tonight is our festive gala evening and dinner.
Day 7: Sunday, October 26th 2025: DISEMBARK CRUISE – ARCACHON - BORDEAUX: On this final day of your extraordinary cruise, savor a buffet breakfast on board your ship while you cruise towards Bordeaux, cherishing the last moments of this remarkable adventure. At 11:00 a.m., disembark from the ship, bidding farewell to the attentive crew who have made your voyage so unforgettable. Board your coach to Arcachon and enjoy a lunch with time on your own exploring the village. Transfer to your hotel in Bordeaux (B).
Day 8: Monday, October 27th 2025: FAREWELL TO BORDEAUX: As you conclude this chapter of your travels, you have the choice to return home on your flight, filled with cherished memories and new perspectives.
