Le Grand Tour is the longest and most immersive of shows ever imagined in history. The travelers board a Belle Époque train for a journey of six days and five nights through the french provinces, but more than that, they enter the mystery of a moving theatre where each meeting and event composes a scenario which unfolds from one stopover to the next, all the way to the final climax..  More than an excursion, Le Grand Tour is a poetic escape into french legend. An epic voyage,  With its characters and famous figures, its secrets and revelations.

Le Grand Tour combines the charm of the Belle Époque with modern comfort..  The menu at the “Alexandre Dumas” on- board restaurant has been created by Alexandre Couillon, an internationally renowned chef boasting two Michelin stars. The sumptuous décor, refined service and delicate dishes take travelers back to the golden age of train travel, to enjoy the French art of living well.

Our train combines Belle Époque charm with modern comfort. Every- thing is spectacular in this journey through France : the sumptuous décor of the dining car, the warm and cosy atmosphere of the bar wagon, the distinguished aesthetics of the cabins, the service in period dress, the marquetry and painted canvases, the carefully selected furniture... Each detail immerses the traveler in the sophistication of the golden age of train travel and the French art of living well.  The 18 spacious cabins (from 10 to 25 m2) are named after famous figures who all helped to write the greatest chapters in railway history.  The cabins have large windows from which to admire the landscapes of France, an ensuite bathroom and toilet, and custom-built automation. By night they transform into comfortable bedrooms, taking the dream from day to night.  The train has room for 36 passengers, assisted by 15 crew members. The train manager, like a conductor leading an orchestra, and the stewards trained at the finest establishments in Europe, are the travelers’ “guardian angels”, while the “mixologist” bartender, our double Michelin-starred chef and his team invite the passengers into their world of flavours and delights.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: MORNING: We leave Gare de l'Est and Paris fades away. The first hills shape the landscape until we reach Épernay, where we are expected for an exclusive visit to a Champagne House. AFTERNOON: After lunch, the journey continues to Reims. We visit the cathedral, including hidden places not open to the public, with their share of surprises. After discovering the city of Coronations, we return to the train for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: MORNING: Burgundy offers its most beautiful landscapes, and Beaune with its polychrome roofs. We are expected for a private tour to discover the unusual and secret places of the famous Hospices. AFTERNOON: Lunch offers a unique panorama on the way to the Alps. The afternoon is dedicated to a visit of Annecy under different facets, with the possibility to personalize your experience with tailor-made options (culture, outdoor, sports...).

DAY 3: MORNING: The night guides us to Provence, and we arrive in Avignon. In the heart of the Palace of the Popes, its best-kept secrets are revealed, even on the rooftops, where an unprecedented tasting of the region's best wines and products awaits us. AFTERNOON: Provence gradually reveals itself with the song of cicadas and the scent of lavender... It's time to stroll under the plane trees, enjoy a sunny terrace, and discover the sweetness of Mediterranean life. Driven by the mistral, our train heads west, winding along the creeks and the sun-drenched Mediterranean Sea.

DAY 4: MORNING: The salty air of the Atlantic wakes us up, and the Arcachon Bay reveals its splendors. Our "pinasse" (traditional boat) cruises on the bay, straight out of the Dubourdieu shipyards that we visit. A seafood tasting accompanies this timeless moment. AFTERNOON: Our train travels through the heart of the vineyards, where the greatest Bordeaux houses welcome us.

DAY 5: MORNING: The day dawns on the Cher River. Behind the veils of mist, a limestone miracle rises on the horizon: Chenonceau, the Ladies' Castle. An emotional private visit awaits us, followed by a floral workshop led by the head gardener of the castle. AFTERNOON: The Grand Tour ends with a spectacular journey through time at Puy du Fou. History blends with legend to come back to life until nightfall, where the grand nighttime show vibrates under the stars.

DAY 6: MORNING: Following a brunch on board, the landscapes gently scroll by. In the soft light, the breeze sculpts the waves through the wheat fields. Arrive in Paris Gare de l'Est and disembark your luxury train. Our memories will have an eternal fragrance for a long time.
