ITINERARY:
DAY 1: May 1, 2026 –U.S.A.: Depart from Newark for your flight to Amsterdam.
DAY 2: May 2, 2026 – Amsterdam / The Hague: Upon arrival, proceed through customs and collect your luggage. Meet our assistant and driver and transfer to your hotel in The Hague. Check in and in the afternoon, walking tour of the city with a local guide. Discover the Dutch Government on an easy walk through the city center and see the famous Parliament buildings, the city hall, and the majestic facade of the Noordeinde Palace. Return to the hotel. Tonight, welcome dinner at the hotel. Overnight in The Hague. (Dinner)
DAY 3: May 3, 2026 – Utrecht & Gouda: Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure to Utrecht, a city in the central Netherlands that has been a religious center for centuries. It has a medieval old town, canals, Christian monuments and a venerable university. The iconic Domtoren, a 14th-century bell tower with city views, stands opposite the Gothic Cathedral of St. Martin on central Domplein square. Enjoy a walking tour with your guide through mystical courtyards, Dom Square, narrow alleyways, canals and wharves. Continue with a canal cruise before lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, proceed to Gouda, the historic city in the province of South Holland, is known world-wide for its Gouda cheese, its candles and its delicious stroopwafels. Take the opportunity to try some Gouda cheese ! Overnight in The Hague. (Breakfast, Lunch)
DAY 4: May 4, 2026 – Keukenhof Gardens: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, departure to the stunning Keukenhof Gardens which have been delighting and inspiring visitors for over 60 years with its millions of flowering tulips, intricate flower displays and expansive sculpture garden. When you arrive at the Keukenhof Gardens, your guide will give you a map of the gardens to help you navigate during your three hours of free time. Spanning nearly 79 acres (32 hectares), the Keukenhof Gardens is the world’s largest flower garden, and is truly a memorable sight in the spring. Stroll down winding paths lined with millions of blossoming tulips, narcissis, daffodils, hyacinths and bluebells and dotted with lovely greenhouses, brooks and shady ponds. Stop by a special exhibit in one of the pavilions, and bring a picnic lunch or grab a bite from a refreshment stand for a relaxing lunch among the flowers. For those who prefer to leave, rejoin the coach and depart to Lisse for lunch in a local restaurant (not included). Pick up everyone at Keukenhof garden on the way back to the hotel and return to the Hague. Rest of the day at leisure. Return to the hotel. In the evening, dinner with drinks nearby the hotel escorted by our assistant. Overnight in The Hague. (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 5: May 5, 2026 - Amsterdam: After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Amsterdam. Our first visit; The Rijksmuseum. It is the premier art museum of the Netherlands, and no visitor to Amsterdam can afford to miss it. The collection includes some 8,000 paintings spread over 80 galleries, most importantly those by Dutch and Flemish masters from the 15th to 19th centuries. The emphasis, naturally, is on the Golden Age. Pride of place is taken by Rembrandt's Nightwatch (1650), showing the militia led by Frans Banning Cocq. Other 17th century Dutch masters include Jan Vermeer (The Milkmaid, and Woman in Blue Reading a Letter), Frans Hals (The Merry Drinker) and Jan Steen (The Merry Family). Lunch is at the local restaurant. Next enjoy walking tour of Amsterdam, featuring the major city landmarks. We will end our tour with a canal cruise for a more in-depth Amsterdam sightseeing experience! See canals lined with elaborate merchant houses, warehouses and churches built in the 17th century, considered the Dutch Golden Age. Drift under charming bridges made of brick and stone, and pass through Amsterdam's old harbor before returning to the pier. Lunch in a local restaurant included. In the afternoon, proceed to At the end of the tour, return to the hotel with our guide by coach. Evening on your own. Overnight in The Hague. (Breakfast, Lunch)
DAY 6: May 6, 2026 – The Hague & Delft: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, visit the Peace Palace (upon availability on this day). A guide will tell you about the building and about the institutions housed in it. A tour through the Great and Small Hall of Justice, the corridors and the Japanese Room will give you an impression of the most beautiful rooms of the Palace. After the inside visit, proceed to see the gardens (upon availability on this day).After the Peace Palace, departure to Delft. Upon arrival, lunch (included) in a local restaurant in Delft. In the afternoon, visit De Delftse Pauw, a 17th-century factory dating back to the Golden Age when Holland’s iconic blue-and-white Delft pottery was first produced to duplicate Chinese porcelain. Afterward, wander Delft’s city center to see monuments such as the Oostpoort (Eastern Gate), Waag (Weigh House), Oude Kerk (Old Church) and Nieuwe Kerk (New Church). Return to the hotel by the end of the day. Overnight in The Hague. (Breakfast, Lunch)
DAY 7: May 7, 2026 –Alkmaar market, Zuiderzeemuseum: Breakfast at the hotel. Departure aboard your luxury coach and settle in for the scenic journey out of the city to the Dutch countryside. En route to several North Holland villages, listen to your guide and learn about the passing sights, including dikes and polders — areas of land reclaimed from the water. Our first stop will be Alkmaar market with some free time to stroll at leisure. Continue to Zuiderzeemuseum. Take a walk through history on the outdoor museum. The open-air section covers 15 acres and accommodates authentic buildings from the former Zuiderzee region, such as a church, a fish-curing shed, a mill, a cheese warehouse, shops and dwelling houses from the surrounding fishing villages. You can help craftspeople in the Marker harbour making nets, produce a rope at the rope-maker’s workplace, give the housemaid a hand, or enter into a conversation with the ‘inhabitants’ from the former island of Urk. A number of presentations offer a modern interpretation of traditional crafts, materials and themes. The Indoor Museum is the treasure chamber of the Zuiderzee. Temporary exhibitions display the rich collection of the Museum. Free time in Zuiderzeemuseum. Return to the hotel for overnight in The Hague. (Breakfast)
DAY 8: May 8, 2026 – Optional tour to Amsterdam Van Gogh museum & Zaanse Schans: Breakfast at the hotel and free day unless you choose to join us for an optional day trip to Amsterdam. Departure from the hotel and morning guided tour of Van Gogh Museum. Inside, your guide takes your group to select paintings by Van Gogh and provides fascinating background on the artist’s life. You’ll see the work of those who inspired Van Gogh throughout various displays of art by other 19th-century painters. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore more of the museum that houses the world’s largest collection of works by Van Gogh, with more than 200 paintings as well as numerous. Our next visit to Zaanse Schans, a pretty town on the Zaan River and a popular destination due to its well-preserved windmills, some dating back to the 17th century. See evocations of traditional Dutch life at the historical shipyard and eye-catching windmills. Return to the hotel in The Hague by the end of the day. Tonight, farewell dinner in a local restaurant nearby the hotel with drinks. Overnight in The Hague. (Breakfast, Dinner)
DAY 9: May 9, 2026 – The Hague / Amsterdam / U.S.A.:Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Meet our assistant at the hotel and departure to the airport for your flight back home. (Breakfast)
