Depart the United States on an overnight flight to Rome, beginning your journey to one of Italy’s most captivating and lesser-known regions.



Day 2 – Wed, Sep 09

Welcome to Italy. Upon arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport, you will be greeted by your tour manager and driver—your journey begins in style.

Travel north to Viterbo, the historic heart of the Tuscia region. This enchanting town, rich in medieval heritage, invites you to step back in time as you explore the majestic Papal Palace and stroll through beautifully preserved cobblestone streets. Viterbo’s timeless atmosphere, enhanced by its thermal traditions and architectural elegance, offers a perfect introduction to this remarkable region.

Enjoy a light lunch before continuing to your hotel. After check-in, unwind and settle into your surroundings. This evening, gather for a welcoming dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 3 – Thu, Sep 10

After breakfast, set out to discover the serene beauty of Lake Bolsena, Europe’s largest volcanic lake. Surrounded by rolling landscapes and picturesque villages, the lake offers breathtaking panoramas at every turn. Weather permitting, enjoy a peaceful cruise across its tranquil waters.

Continue to the extraordinary Civita di Bagnoregio, often called the “dying city.” Perched dramatically atop a fragile hill and accessible only by a footbridge, this secluded village feels suspended in time—an unforgettable and atmospheric experience.

Your day concludes in Montefiascone, a charming hilltop town renowned for its celebrated white wine, “Est! Est!! Est!!!”. Visit a local winery where you will enjoy a delightful dinner paired with regional wines.

Day 4 – Fri, Sep 11

This morning is yours to relax and indulge. Enjoy full access to the hotel’s spa and pools, allowing time to recharge amid tranquil surroundings.

Later, explore Tarquinia, one of Italy’s most important Etruscan sites. Discover the remarkable Monterozzi Necropolis, where vividly painted tombs dating back to the 7th century BC provide a rare and fascinating glimpse into ancient life. At the National Museum, admire exquisite sarcophagi and artifacts that bring this ancient civilization to life.

Continue to Tuscania, a hidden gem nestled among rolling hills and encircled by medieval walls. Quiet, authentic, and far from the crowds, it offers sweeping views and a true sense of timeless Italy. Dinner will be served in Tuscania this evening.

Day 5 – Sat, Sep 12

Today’s journey is dedicated to the grandeur of Renaissance Italy.

Visit the magnificent Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, an architectural masterpiece that combines the strength of a fortress with the elegance of a noble residence. Its imposing structure and refined interiors offer a fascinating glimpse into aristocratic life.

Enjoy a leisurely lunch featuring regional specialties before continuing to Villa Lante in Bagnaia. Its extraordinary gardens, considered among the finest in Italy, are a harmonious blend of nature, art, and engineering. Cascading fountains and intricate water features—symbols of power and prestige—create a setting of remarkable beauty.

Arrive in Porto Ercole, where lunch will be served at your hotel. Today’s exploration takes you into the fascinating world of the “tuff towns.”

Visit Pitigliano, spectacularly perched atop a dramatic ridge of volcanic rock. Known as “Little Jerusalem,” it boasts a rich cultural heritage shaped by centuries of Jewish history. Its striking setting and labyrinth of stone streets make it one of Italy’s most unique villages.

Continue to Sovana, where time seems to stand still. Its medieval character is beautifully preserved, highlighted by the imposing Rocca Aldobrandesca fortress.

Finally, discover Sorano, a hidden treasure of narrow alleys and ancient stone buildings carved directly into the tuff rock. Its timeless atmosphere invites quiet exploration and discovery.

Enjoy lunch at a local farmhouse, savoring authentic flavors of the region. Return to your hotel. Evening at leisure.
